Input: Add Lane Closure

Project Details

These fields deal with project details for the new lane closure and provides additional descriptive information.

• "Closure Name" is used to indicate the name of the project, i.e. "Rt. 28 / I-66 Eastbound Ramp Work"
• "Permit Number" is an optional field that can be used to provide permit numbers if available
• "Project" provides the user a way to break down the lane closures for reporting purposes. Projects can be filtered by region for easier access.
• "Police / Mobile / Alternating" options allow further instructions from the user entering the lane closure
• "Additional Information" - A free-text field is provided for detour information or distinguishing characteristics of the closure. Any information entered in this field is displayed on reports. This field has a 50 character limit.
• "Internal Comments" - An additional text field for displaying information that should remain internal to VDOT and should not be published. This field has a 4000 character limit.
